Spyderco Rock Lobster

After prototypes were revealed in 2008 and its' inclusion in Spyderco's 2009 Catalog, the Rock Lobster is beginning to hit dealer's shelves.

A Jens Anso design, the release of the Rock Lobster has been highly anticipated.  According to Spyderco, Anso chose the design and specifics related to the knife.  The Rock Lobster has Spyderco's foliage green G10 scales and a liner lock to hold the blade open.

The approximately 4" blade shape is a modified sheepsfoot design that is flat ground to the spine.  It is made of VG10, a steel that Spyderco has been using for several years.  Of course, the blade has a generous Spyderhole to thumb open the blade.

All together, the Rock Lobster makes for an interesting a high quality folding knife package.  So far, the street price seems to be upwards of $200.
